Am I good enough to get in? Part of our purpose is to help young artists develop and improve, it is most important that potential students show eagerness and passion to learn and a capacity for continued growth.

Is DSA Orchestra only for students who plan to be professional musicians?  No- many alumni find success outside of the arts.

Isn’t it expensive to go to Denver School of the Arts? – There is no tuition.  It’s an arts magnet school that is part of the Denver Public School system – open to students from everywhere.  Although most students come from Colorado, students are welcome to audition from all over the U.S.

How are the academics? – DSA offers a rigorous academic program, including Advanced Placement classes and CU Succeed coursework.  Our students are often awarded scholarships to the colleges and universities of their choice, nationwide.
