ORCHESTRA FAMILY ASSOCIATION

The OFA works to ensure all Orchestra department events run smoothly, and that fundraising successfully supports the needs of our musicians.

The many activities and efforts of the OFA are planned with your help at meetings throughout the year. We typically gather before the monthly PTSO meetings on the second Tuesday of every month (with some exceptions) and will be announced on dsaorchestra.org.  Visit the Orchestra calendar for details.

Organized by teams, OFA relies on your involvement for its success. Many opportunities exist throughout each year for families to volunteer small amounts of their time, and sign-up sheets are always available at dsaorchestra.org.  Involving slightly more effort, each OFA event and activity is coordinated annually by families volunteering and training an incoming volunteer. Finally, longer term efforts (planning & organizing) are coordinated by individuals giving their time generously to support OFA and the Department of Orchestra.

Team Leader Assignments

The OFA has made every effort to keep coordinator jobs small and easy to manage, some efforts require just one or two hours, once or twice a year. If you see an opening (-tbd-) for your grade level, sign up – and don’t hesitate to ask questions.
