I’m excited to offer you a complimentary student membership for access to compelling programming and opportunities through Arts Schools Network. Dedicated to excellence and leadership in arts education, Arts Schools Network is a dynamic resource for arts schools leaders, and now students of member schools! The organization’s online communications and in-person gatherings offer inspiration, insight, advocacy, and 2 new exciting programs for student artists:
On Your Way Student Talent Recognition Program:
This program gives students a chance to display their talents in Classical Voice, Filmmaking, Musical Theater/Acting and Visual Arts. “On Your Way” helps students grades 9-12 from ASN member schools enhance their auditioning skills and industry and higher education opportunities as it promotes migrating portfolios to a standard, online digital format for auditions, admissions, and competitions. “On Your Way” judges come from some of the most esteemed arts institutions in the country and the winner in each category will attend the 2012 ASN Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, where they’ll perform or screen their work at the Student Talent Recognition Celebration Dinner. Award winners and their guardians will receive complimentary registration, round trip flights, accommodations for two nights, and passes to Epcot Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort. Students will also have a meet and greet with college and conservatory representatives who can assist them in their selection of post-high school studies.
Life In The Arts Videos:
A dynamic video series produced by and for ASN, “Life in the Arts” provides members and students of member schools access to 30-minute, student-produced video episodes ranging from master classes and interviews with successful alumni, to tours of facilities and professional arts venues. The videos give valuable information and tremendous exposure to students, exercising and displaying their skills in theater, filmmaking, script writing.
